Your Child's Assessment Journey
Supporting families every step of the way with a clear, compassionate and evidence-based assessment process
Step 1
Initial Consultation
Your journey begins with an online consultation with one of our experienced psychologists. This appointment allows us to understand your concerns, discuss your child’s development, and explain the assessment process in detail.
This is also an opportunity to ask questions and determine whether a comprehensive dual assessment is the right next step for your child.
✓ Parent or guardian attendance only
✓ Online appointment available
✓ Flexible scheduling
Step 2
ADHD Assessment
The assessment includes a comprehensive clinical interview with parents and age-appropriate ADHD assessment tools, including the QB Check where appropriate.
We explore attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, behaviour, school experiences, relationships, and daily functioning to build a complete picture of your child’s strengths and challenges.
✓ Comprehensive clinical interview
✓ QB Check assessment
✓ Evidence-based assessment tools
Step 3
Developmental History Consultation
A detailed consultation with parents or guardians to explore your child’s developmental milestones, communication style, social experiences, sensory profile, strengths, and challenges.
This information helps us build a comprehensive understanding of your child’s individual needs and informs the assessment process.
✓ Parent-focused consultation
✓ Detailed developmental review
✓ Individualised assessment planning
Step 4
Comprehensive Child Autism Assessment
This is the primary assessment appointment and the only stage where your child attends in person.
Using evidence-based assessment tools, structured observations, and age-appropriate activities, our clinicians evaluate communication, social interaction, play skills, behaviour patterns, and sensory experiences.
Our child-friendly approach helps create a comfortable environment where children can engage naturally.
✓ In-person assessment
✓ Child-centred approach
✓ Evidence-based assessment methods
Step 5
Clinical Feedback & Written Report
Once the assessment is completed, we meet with parents or guardians to discuss the findings and answer any questions.
You will receive a detailed written report outlining the assessment outcomes, clinical conclusions, and personalised recommendations to support your child at home, in school, and in everyday life.
✓ Comprehensive diagnostic report
✓ Practical recommendations
✓ Guidance for educational and support settings
Step 6
Ongoing Support & Recommendations
Following assessment, we can help you explore appropriate supports for your child and family.
Depending on your child’s needs, recommendations may include therapy, emotional regulation support, educational accommodations, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, parenting support, or further specialist input.
Our goal is not only to provide clarity through assessment, but to help families feel confident about the next steps.
✓ Personalised recommendations
✓ Family-centred approach
✓ Continued professional support
