Initial Consultation
The assessment journey begins with an online consultation with one of our psychologists. During this appointment, we discuss your concerns, your child’s development, behaviour, learning experiences, and reasons for seeking an ADHD assessment.
This is also an opportunity to ask questions and understand the assessment process.

Step 2
ADHD Assessment
The assessment includes a comprehensive clinical interview with parents and age-appropriate ADHD assessment tools, including the QB Check where appropriate.
We explore attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation, behaviour, school experiences, relationships, and daily functioning to build a complete picture of your child’s strengths and challenges.

Step 3
Diagnostic Report & Feedback
Following the assessment, your clinician reviews all information against DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for ADHD.
Parents attend a feedback appointment where findings are discussed and a detailed written report is provided, including recommendations for home, school, and future support.

Ongoing Support & Recommendations
Assessment is often the first step in understanding your child’s unique strengths and challenges. Following assessment, we provide practical recommendations and ongoing support tailored to your child’s individual needs.
Depending on the assessment outcomes, recommendations may include psychological therapy, emotional regulation support, parent guidance, school accommodations, social skills development, ADHD-focused interventions, and psychiatry services where appropriate.
